Obituary of Margaret P. Brogan
Margaret P. Brogan (nee Conway), age 94, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Margaret was born March 10, 1930, in New York, NY. She is the daughter of the late Michael and the late Josephine (Byrnes) Conway. Beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Brogan. Loving mother of Thomas Brogan, Jr. and Michael Brogan. Cherished sister of the late John Conway, the late Betty Thornton, the late Barbara Willett and Frances Agro.
A lifelong resident of Marine Park, Margaret dedicated nearly 20 years to her career at Ebinger’s Bakery, where she rose to the position of manager. Ebinger’s Bakery is fondly remembered for inventing the iconic "Brooklyn Blackout" cake.
Margaret was a devout Catholic, guided by her strong faith. Her unwavering devotion to caring for her autistic son, Thomas Brogan, Jr., was truly admirable and a testament to her loving and selfless nature.
Margaret’s memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Reposing on Sunday, December 8th and Monday December 9th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn. Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, December 10 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
