Tony worked with me at Central. Anytime someone would come off the street having anything remotely to do about any sports scene, they'd talk for the rest of the day (or Tony's shift at the desk). He was that rare person who was both kind and fun to hang out with, He had no enemies except those responsible for moving his beloved Dodgers to LA . I am a refugee from the old New York. Now one more priceless piece of Brooklyn is gone forever.

I am heartbroken to hear of Tony’s passing. I was just informed this evening. He was such a special human being. I had the pleasure of working with him at Brooklyn Public Library at the Information desk. He was such a kind and caring person! We always spoke about the Dodger’s and I talked about the Yankees. He truly loved his wife and daughter and later his grandaughter. He loved all of his family! He was the bright spot at the Info desk and everywhere he was. Everyone including myself loved him! The world is missing a beautiful man today. I am so sorry Peggy and family for your loss! With deepest sympathy Stephanie Erato
