Obituary of Angelina Savarese

Angelina Savarese, age 81, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Angelina was born September 3, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Anna (nee Depasquale) Savarese. Angelina is the beloved sister of Marie Vergona (the late Philip), and Joan DiMeglio (Mario). Cherished aunt of Christine Burns (Robert,) John DiMeglio, Gracemarie Gallagher (Anthony,) and Anthony DiMeglio (Christina). Great-aunt of Colin and Gavin Gallagher, Lucianna, and Alessandra DiMeglio. Angelina was adored and cherished by everyone lucky enough to spend time around her. She brought loads of joy and laughter to family and friends, whether telling jokes, shockingly amusing stories during card games or just watching and talking about her favorite movies and TV shows. She loved playing DJ for block parties too, oldies music, and Elvis were her favorites. She was a one of a kind, a precious treasure and she will be dearly missed.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Angelina’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 21 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:45 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary- St. Stephen R.C. Church, 108 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
