Obituary of Christopher M. Gribbon

Christopher M Gribbon died unexpectedly on September September 22, 2020. He was born on February 12, 1962 in Brooklyn New York to Michael and Margaret Gribbon who predeceased him.

Chris attended St Jerome grammar school in Brooklyn, Power Memorial High School in Manhattan and Brooklyn College. He joined the NYPD in June of 1984 as a transit police officer and retired in June of 2004. He moved up to Sullivan County where he lived until his death.

Chris is survived by his sisters Mary, Regina, Margaret, Anne and Patricia. His two other sisters Helen and Madeline predeceased him. He is also survived by his brothers. Michael, Mark, Joseph,John, Gerard and Francis. He also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and 12 grand nieces and nephews.

Chris will be sadly missed by his family and friends. May you Rest In Peace Chris. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation in Chris’s name be made to the The American Diabetes Association at P.O Box 7023, Merrifield Virginia 22116-7023 or online at diabetes.org.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 1 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, 2331 Gerritsen Avenue, Brooklyn, NY with Rev. Michael C. Gribbon officiating.
