The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend. Cynthia has proven to be more than a friend to me. We shared a lot of fun times, laughter and things together. I will miss our telephone calls checking in on each other. I have a lot to give thanks for and being your sister is a great one.
A sister is a special type of angel on Earth who brings out your best qualities. Now you're in Heaven doing the same. Thank you Cynthia for being a good sister. I love you. Keep sweet until we meet again in Heaven.
A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the sprit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. ( Isadora James)

Lives are like rivers. Eventually they go where they must. Not where we want them to. Words of Richard Russo.
Sadly this is the reality of my dear auntie, Aunt Cyth. The James family has lost a stalwart, an hero. Aunt Cynthia was a queen, a freedom fighter a woman of virtue. She's a role model in her family and to those who came in contact with her. She is fun, loving and a kind soul. She always go far and beyond to lend her support. Aunt Cynthia loved strong and hard and I love her in life and in death.
Auntie I will miss our conversations of encouragements, fun and laughter and also our visits. Forever in my heart.
There is only one happiness in this life..... to love and to be loved. (George Sand)
Sleep on my loving aunt, sleep and take your rest.

Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it. Life is a dream - realize it. Life is a sacrifice - offer it. Life is love - enjoy it.
These words penned by Sai Baba speaks to the life of my dear Aunt Cynthia. She was a sweet soul, fearless, God fearing, warm and kind hearted. She wears a smile that is so welcoming, always giving her support in whatever way she could and she's always fine (smile)…… Whenever I call and asked how she was, her reply was always.." I'm fine, so far so good", then comes the laughter that resonates with me even now. I will miss hearing those words. I am happy I was able to experience your smile, hugs and kisses an I consider myself bless to have known you. Always in my heart auntie. Love you aunt Cyth, until we meet again.
We know you'd be with us today if heaven wasn't so far away. (Kisses)
My dear cousins Denise and Grace take comfort in the fact that mommy has gone to meet her Maker. And that He is with you both always. love you guys.

In loving memory of a very special woman my dear sister Cynthia. Who departed this earth for her final resting place with God. May your soul rest in peace. I can celebrate your life because I know you will hear “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:23
Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel at your passing. I will forever hold on to your memory. You may be gone but not forgotten. Your presence, grace, compassion, love, smile, and kindness will be remembered. I love you forever until we meet again in heaven. You will be missed but forever in my heart.

Beyond lifes gateway, there is an open gate through which each alone must go. There's a light we cannot see, where our father claims his own. Remembering my loving and caring Aunt Cynthia. We became close knitted when I was expecting my child. Words of encouragement support and love were some of her hallmarks she shared with me. As it pertains to Birthdays, Graduations, Weddings and Funerals she was always present and ready to give her support. I am uplifted as I come to appreciate the LOVE she showed to all. Farewell Aunt Cynth. We are all pilgrims passing through. R.I.P..

I remember meeting Ms. James almost 30 years ago. It was on my visit to New York. We had gone to her home for dinner. I remember the kindness and hospitality she extended to me-a little girl from Chicago who had never eaten Caribbean food. Thank you, Ms. James for introducing me to one of my now favorites....
Denise and Grace, our sincere condolences to you both and the rest of the family. Your extended family in Chicago wishes we could be there with you. You are our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Vickie and Collin

It’s with much sorrow that I bid the final farewell to one so dear to my heart, as she makes her entry into a new life and to have rest with Him who alone gives and takes life.
A woman who was the embodiment of a loving and caring human being. Her generosity really had no parallel. Hers was a life of giving. She was totally committed to family. “Her children rise up and called her blessed”. (Prov 31:28)
This isn’t death – it’s glory!
It isn’t dark – it’s light!
It isn’t stumbling, groping or even faith – it’s sight!
It isn’t grief – it’s having the last tear wiped away.
It’s SUNRISE – it’s the morning of Cynthia’s eternal day!
Walk good Aunt Cynth.
We’ll meet in the Sweet by and by.
Forever in my heart.
