Obituary of Marion Orleman
Mrs. Marion Orleman, 90, passed into eternal life on Friday, January 10, 2025. Marion was born on September 11, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Edward and the late Elizabeth (Andrews) Gelling. Marion is the beloved wife of the late Gerard Orleman.
Marion is the cherished mother of Susan Giannattasio (Edward), Gerard Orleman (Carol Ann), Christine Gordon (Robert), the late Edward Orleman, Nancy Higgins (James), Elizabeth Culkin (Peter), Jeanne Farrell (Peter), Caroline Gaine (Brian), and Pamela Fine (Brad). Marion is the loving grandmother of Alex, Kevin (Rory), Gerard (Jessica), Andrew, Dylan (Madison), Connor (Elizabeth), Carolyn, Megan (Charles), Riley, Matthew, Gillian, Daniella, Christopher (Allison), Kyle, Brian, Jack, Kayla, Aidan, Lauren, Thomas, Kieran, Kathryn, Nicholas, Avery and great grandmother of Charles and Emma.
Marion is survived by her loving siblings Jane O’Donnell (John), John Gelling (Mary), and Dennis Gelling. She is predeceased by her brothers Robert Gelling (Renee), Edward Gelling (Barbara), and Daniel Gelling (Maureen).
Marion is the cherished aunt of many loving nieces and nephews. Marion is also the devoted friend of Ingrid Magnus and the late Rita Halbran. Marion’s nurturing and sensitive spirit touched the lives of many.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 15 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY.
Burial to immediately follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
