Margaret Fitzgerald, age 79, of Brooklyn passed away "suddenly without warning" on Saturday, November 9, 2024. This was a saying that Margaret, her sister Elizabeth and friends used to say was the way to go. She was born October 14, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Margaret (Gorman) Murphy. Beloved wife of James "Jim" Fitzgerald. Adored step-mother of Christine Venturo (Joe), Douglas Fitzgerald (Lisa), Jeanne Marie Craven and the late James Fitzgerald. Dear sister of James Murphy (Patricia) Elizabeth Gurl and the late Daniel Murphy (Eileen). Adored grandmother of Danielle, Kayla, Danielle, Jake, Emily and Kevin. Great Grandmother of Anthony, Cailin and James. Margaret was a cherished aunt of 13 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, 6 great great nieces and nephews.

Wake service will be on Thursday November 14, 2024 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.

Funeral mass will be on Friday November 15, 2024 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. 1950 Batchelder Street Brooklyn, NY 11229.
