Obituary of Mary E. Costello

Mary E. Costello, age 67, of Brooklyn passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024. Mrs. Costello was born March 2, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Marilyn (nee Schuller) Protheroe.

She is survived by her devoted husband Patrick Costello.

Cherished sister of Ronne Buccellato (Paul,) the late George Protheroe II, Peggy Magnavita (Joseph,) Robert Protheroe (Monique,) John Protheroe (Rose) and George Protheroe III (Lisa.)

Sister-in-law of the late Patricia Brown, John Brown (Anita,) Jacqueline Costello-Rebuffi (the late Michael,) Elaine Donato (Todd.)

"Aunt Mimi" will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. She is dearly loved and will be remembered by her friends, especially her "Brooklyn Besties," Nancy, Linda and her Madison Family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15 from 2:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Wednesday, October 16 at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
