Obituary of Helen E. Simonson

Helen E. Simonson, age 72, entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2024. Helen was born April 22, 1952 in Bronx, New York. She is the daughter of the late Harry and the late Dorothy (Puleo) Kamna. Beloved wife of the late George W. Simonson, Jr. Loving mother of Jaime Spano (Steven) and Amanda Biondo (Thomas). Cherished grandmother of Thomas Jr., Isabella, Nicholas, Giuliana and Santino. Dear sister of Harry and Ann. 

Reposing on Friday, September 20 from 2 to 5 and 7to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 21 at Resurrection R.C. Church, 2331 Gerritsen Avenue, Brooklyn.

Burial to immediate follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island. 

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. 

Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. 

Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. 

So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. 

Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. 

Understand, in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. 

As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
