Obituary of Donald Kenna

Donald Kenna, age 59, of Brooklyn, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Mr. Kenna was born on October 31, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York. He is the beloved son of Theresa Barbara (Leotta) Kenna and Richard Phillip Kenna.

A loving father, he is survived by his cherished sons, Ryan Kenna and Erik Kenna. Dear mother, Theresa Barbara (Leotta) Kenna. Beloved siblings, Kathi Bellafiore, Michael Kenna, and Richard Kenna. Former wife and friend, Lisa Ritter.

Donald was known for his big personality and sense of humor. He was a movie buff who could effortlessly recite lines from his favorite films, including Jaws, Rocky, and The Little Rascals. He had a strong faith, with God being a central part of his life. An avid reader, Donald loved books and often read multiple at a time, averaging about 100 books a year. Hockey was a sport that brought great joy to Donald; he enjoyed watching as well as playing hockey over the years.

His children were the center of his world, and he adored his sons. Donald was also a proud American. Among his many fond memories was the funny but proud accomplishment of teaching his niece, Bianca, how to belch the entire alphabet.

A friend to all, he will be deeply missed.

Forever In Our Hearts

Reposing will be held on Thursday, July 25 from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

The funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 26 at Church at The Rock, 1288 E 92nd Street, Brooklyn. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens.
