Obituary of Marion Calderone
Marion Calderone, age 80, of Brooklyn, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
Born on July 11, 1943, in her beloved Brooklyn, Marion was the daughter of the late Albert and Marion Rosatti.
Marion was the devoted mother of Jason Calderone and his wife, Keila Calderone, and the loving grandmother of Keila Marie Calderone. She was also the dear sister of Joan D’Lessandro and the cherished aunt of Jeremy, Thomas, and Dana.
Known for her radiant personality and stunning appearance, Marion was the epitome of a blonde bombshell with her beautiful golden locks and captivating aquamarine-grey eyes. She had a passion for dancing and was a “dancing queen" among her friends and family. Marion held a special place in her heart for icons like Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, whose spirits seemed to resonate with her own.
Marion's home was a place of warmth and celebration, where friends and family gathered for joyous occasions. She had a penchant for excitement and enjoyed trying her luck at the penny slot machines in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Throughout her life, Marion exemplified dedication and hard work. From her early years at Delmar Pizzeria to her later role as a skilled switchboard operator at Beth Israel Medical Center, Marion approached every endeavor with determination and a positive spirit.
Marion will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A Memorial Visitation to celebrate Marion's life will be held on Sunday, April 21, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, located at 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn. (Do not delete this line. It does not print. Text that is to appear on web must be entered after this line)«
