Obituary of Nilda E. DeJesus Rivera

Nilda E. DeJesus Rivera, aged 85, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Marcial Rivera, and together they shared a life filled with love and companionship. Nilda was a devoted mother to Sandi Jones, Elba Cordova, and Christian Cuevas. Her children will forever reminisce about her nurturing spirit and guidance.

Nilda was a cherished grandmother to Alexander Lopez and Michael Persson. Her presence brought warmth and joy to the lives of her grandchildren, leaving behind lasting memories.

Born into a family of 14 siblings, Nilda was a beloved sister of her surviving sisters Raquel DeJesus and Elmira DeJesus. The bonds she shared with her siblings were undoubtedly strong and enduring.

Nilda E. DeJesus Rivera leaves a legacy of love, family, and resilience. May her soul rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with her.

The visitation for Nilda E. DeJesus Rivera will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2024, and Monday, January 29, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM - the family will be gathering at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Green-Wood Cemetery.
