Ray W. Mattison, age 79, passed away on January 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 22, 1944, to the late Raymond and Lillian Mattison. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Ray was married to his beloved wife, Lorraine Mattison, for an inspiring 56 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Ray's dedication to his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds.

He is survived by his children, Heather (Dennis) McCormick, Brian (Michele) Mattison, Timothy (Diana) Mattison, and Maureen Mattison. Ray took immense pride in his role as a father, and his love and guidance shaped the lives of his children. His legacy lives on through them and the values he instilled.

Ray was a cherished grandfather to Madison, Gillian, Emma, Ryan, Sienna, and Lilianna. His eyes would light up with joy whenever he was surrounded by his grandchildren, and he took great delight in witnessing them grow and thrive.

In addition to his immediate family, Ray is survived by his brother, Wayne (the late Claire) Mattison, and numerous nieces and nephews. His extended family was an essential part of his life, and he leaves behind fond memories shared with each of them.

Ray dedicated 34 years of his life to Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where he made valuable contributions to the field. His commitment and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Ending his career as a supervisor, Ray's professional achievements are a testament to his dedication and work ethic.

Outside of his professional life, Ray found joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for bowling, where he enjoyed friendly competition and camaraderie with friends. Ray also found solace and happiness in sunbathing on the beach, creating cherished memories under the sun's warmth.

The visitation for Ray W. Mattison will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM. The Committal Service will be private.
