Obituary of Clifford F. Shults
Clifford F. Shults of Marine Park, Brooklyn, died peacefully on December 6, 2023—his 75th birthday.
Cliff was born on December 6, 1948, to Fred and Audrey Shults of Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn. He was the youngest of five siblings, including brothers Fred (Kathleen) and Edward and sisters Marilyn (John) and Rosalind (Andy). Cliff is survived by his loving wife Patricia, only child Anthony, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Christine (John). He was entirely devoted to his family and looked forward to welcoming his first grandchild this coming summer.
Cliff was an avid sailor, fisherman, hunter, golfer, swimmer, and all-around athlete. He loved reading and watching sports with his son. Cliff served for two decades as a police officer with the Port Authority Police Department and later worked as an x-ray technologist for an orthopedic practice.
Cliff battled many injuries and illnesses throughout his life, but he never let them overcome his spirit or define him as a person. Cliff was always the first person to offer assistance to relatives, friends, and strangers in need, and he was the last to ask for help himself. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him.
Wake services will be held for Cliff on Tuesday, December 12 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13 at St. Columba Church, 2245 Kimball St, Brooklyn, NY 11234. Cliff’s burial will immediately follow in St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Cliff’s name.
