Obituary of Marie A. Yvrose Glemaud

My mother, Marie Altagrace Yvrose Glemaud passed away on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, at the Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, New York at the age of 73, after a long battle with a Heart Condition. She was born on September 22nd, 1950, In Port- au-Prince, Haiti. She is the daughter of the Methor Glemaud and Theodita Ligondé.

Marie Altagrace Yvrose Glemaud is survived by her daughter: Rachelle Aristyl, her two sons Frantz Aristyl and Ricardo Aristyl. She is also survived by her daughter-in- law Kellise Aristyl , and her four grandchildren: Jonathan Aristyl , Shermal Exavier, Sadyah Exavier and Tyler Aristyl.

My mother also had six siblings, two brothers and four sisters. She was survived by her Brothers, Jean Glemaud and children, Mark Glemaud and children, and by her sisters Marie Lourdes Desroches, Evelyne Jose. Mona Glemaud, Marie Yves Glemaud and children. By her nieces and nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, all of whom she had loved and had brought great joy to her life.

My mother was a very caring, loving, and nurturing person throughout her life. When she came to the United States in 1982, few years later, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant to do what she loved best -caring for people until she retired in 2005. She lived her life in the most positive way. She saw the good in everything and in everybody; she always had words of encouragement with whomever she spoke to. My mother loved to pray for and with others. She always laughed and made others laugh.

Her actions and the incredible examples that she showed her children and grandchildren would live beyond her grave because she was a true example of courage, integrity, respect, kindness, and great faith in God. "To know my mother was to love her."

We know she is standing at the gates of Heaven rejoicing because she loved and lived for God. And that is what is getting me and every one of us through this sadness. We will miss her dearly and will always cherish her memories. So, I will leave you with a quote.

"A heart is not judged by how much you love but by how much you are loved by others" The Aristyl, The Glemaud, The Ligondé, The Bouzi, The Jose, The Fevry, The Bazelais, The Comeau and the Best Friends of the family and I thank you for being here to celebrate my mother’s life, legacy, and final home going Service.
