Obituary of Donald F. Grassi

Donald F. Grassi, age 95 of Brooklyn, NY, died peacefully in his home on October 23, 2023.

Born in the Bronx on September 10, 1928, the son of Donato Grassi and Adeline Russo, Donald was a baseball player in his youth and a lifetime NY Yankee fan. Baseball took a back seat when he met Teresa M. Iazzetta and married her on April 30th, 1955. From the moment they met to the day of his passing, Donald could be heard singing the praises of his beloved Teresa.

After a full career in the insurance industry, Donald stayed involved in multiple political action committees and charities throughout his retired life and was most proud of the signed letters and pictures that he had received from various US Presidents over the years. These pictures align his office wall to this day.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother Ben and sister Yolanda and is survived by his wife Teresa and many nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony will be held at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
