Obituary of Irene L. Moldaw

Irene L. Moldaw (née Bush) passed away on February 24, 2023, ten days before her 92nd birthday.  Irene was born on March 6, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY.  She is the daughter of the late John and the late Mary (nee Roslak) Bush.

 

Irene is predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry A. Moldaw.

 

Beloved mother of Grace (Oleg), Deborah (John), and Barbara (Daniel).

 

Cherished grandmother of Thomas (Jacqueline), Michelle (Nicholas), John (Lan), Gregory, Daniel (April), Matthew, and Irene. 

 

Loving great-grandmother to Scarlett, Smith, John, Ashlynn, and James.

 

After being a homemaker for many years, Irene went to work as an Executive Secretary at Johnson & Higgins for 15 years.  She enjoyed working in Manhattan but prided herself on being a lifelong resident of Brooklyn.

 

Forever in our hearts.

 

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Irene’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.

 

Wake service will be on Friday March 3, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.

 

Funeral mass will be on Saturday March 4, 2023 at Good Shepherd Roman catholic Church at 9:45 AM. 1950 Batchelder Street Brooklyn, NY 11229.

 

Committal service will immediately follow to Maple Grove Cemetery. 127-15 Kew Gardens Road Kew Gardens, NY 11415
