We were neighbors for the longest time and a huge part of my childhood growing up in the 80’s on Bay 23rd Street. The neighborhood may have changed but the memories remain. God Bless

My Cousin Marie was one of those truly special people with a heart of gold. I treasure the memories of all the times we spent together over the years. The birthdays, block parties, special occasions and holiday celebrations were very happy times. The annual Christmas Brunch was a wonderful tradition and looked forward to all year. Even an impromptu visit for a cup of coffee on Avenue R with her and Great Aunt Jean was a treat. Her door was always open, her smile was always friendly, and her soul was always generous. Her handmade greeting cards made you feel special and her homemade Italian salad dressing was perfect every time. Will love and miss her always,

My deepest condolences to Gina, Stan, James, Elizabeth and the rest of the family. Maria and her mom were nothing but kind and welcoming to me. I was the annoying, neighbor/classmate that would randomly show up, sleep over and eat. Even though Gina and her mom shared a bedroom, Maria always had a place for me in her home. Her kindness will never be forgotten. As an adult, I understand the true love, a single mom, taking care of 2 kids, and her mom, what a generous and kind gesture this was. Maria and her mom were true angels on this earth. May she Rest In Peace and her family find solace that they are together.
