Obituary of Michael Melnyk

Michael Melnyk, age 98, of Brooklyn, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Mr. Melnyk was born on September 23, 1923, in Vybudiv, Ukraine. Michael was welcomed into Heaven by his loving wife the late Cathryn Melnyk. He was the beloved father of John (Paula), Maria, and Cathy (Randy). Michael was the cherished grandfather of Matthew (Elizabeth), Melanie (Steve), Emma (Ben), Sarah, and Michael; and great grandfather of Annabel, Stella, Stephen, and Alice.

The visitation for Michael Melnyk will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow at Hackensack Cemetery (289 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601).
