I lived across the street from JHS 50. I met Mr Marcucci at the summer programs there before I even went to JHS 50. I joined The Students For Urban Society program he lead as my sister Faith and brother Andy did. He taught me citizenship, honesty and compassion for my fellow person.I also lived around the corner from Martucci on E.22nd ST. My husband and I would run into him occasionaly. He spoke to us in that down to earth wonderful way he alway communicated with people. He would ask me how my sisters, brother, cousin and mother were doing. He would then proceed to tell me about his wife , children and grand kids. He was a compassionate man wise beyond his years. I will cherish the memoriews I haver of this wonderful teacher, mentor, friend and man. God bless you Mr Vincent J. Martucci and all his family and close friends.
