Ronnie was a great man. He and Debbie were the heart of girls sports at St. Columba. When I started playing for Columba, Ronnie saw something in little 12 year old me with softball and had me try out for the travel team. Needless to say since then, I have played competitively. I cannot thank him enough for coaching me and giving me opportunities such as umpiring and working clinics.
The amount of love Ronnie had for his Columba girls cannot be measured with a number. He would do anything for the us. He was truly a great man and will be missed.

How lucky I was to have known such a good soul! Not just a great coach, but a true friend to my whole family. Everyone in Marine Park knew Ronnie because his contributions to the community were immense. My heart goes out to Debbie, Danielle, Kristen and their families.

Your dad was such an incredible person that really impacted the childhood of the entire neighborhood but in such a silent way. You always knew where you could find Your dad if you needed him-at the church during basketball season, the softball fields in marine park during spring and summer, setting up flag football or soccer in the fall and winter. Such a sad loss for everyone. All my love to you guys.

He was a very giving person who gave his time to St Columba church and youth organization. People don’t realize how he made the turkey shoot every year so fun and exciting. Ronnie I want to thank you for all you done for me as a coach and as a person. Love you brother. See you on the other side

Sending love and prayers. I have fond memories of your father Kristen. He was a wonderful, concerned and involved parent when you were in my class. He was an exemplary father. We are all better for having known him. What a blessing to have a father like that. He certainly made his mark on the world. He will be missed.

Totally heartbroken and devastated. Ronnie was an incredible and amazing human being. He raised so many girls during our St. Columba days. He was an exceptional role model for all of us to look up to. He was such an intricate part of St. Columba and welcomed my family and I when we started. Ronnje was firm but also a gentle and loving man. He was loved by so many people! I loved when we would reminisce about the good old days. I am so deeply and profoundly sorry for you and your family’s loss. My heart breaks for all of you. This is a true loss and the world is a little less brighter. May God keep him safe and welcome him into Heaven and may your dad’s Native American dreamcatchers that he loved so much bring him good sleep in his eternal resting spot.

Can’t imagine your heartbreak especially at this time.
Your dad was a very special person. In your grief, try to embrace that. Everyone who knew him was better because of it. Ron Izzo mattered to so many. How beautiful is that? His influence on so many young people was that of a gracious role model. Although your heart is shattered, hold onto how proud you made him, and how proud you are to be his daughter. You have so many of his qualities
I love you and I am here for whatever you need.

What a great man, have so many memories of him growing up. I remember one year he drove to my house to bring me three medals that I won and how proud of me he was for winning the hit run and throw competition in softball! He definitely put his whole heart into St Columba and girls softball!

Ronnie was the essence of good. No one cared for his family and extended family more. He gave fully of himself to everyone till the very end. Hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of children grew up in Marine Park better off because of Ron. He will be so missed and forever so loved.

Throughout my life I have been blessed with amazing people who have been there since the very beginning. Ronnie was one of them, through childhood to adulthood. He has helped me have *somewhat* of a thick skin by always telling me to “take my mask off, halloweens over” or calling me “Rocky” when my face got messed up in a swimming accident when I was 13. In adulthood, the more recent years , he always promised me he’d trip me down the aisle when Matt & I get married. (Now I should trip on purpose, just for him.) This one hurts..Ronnie you were a huge influence in my life & I will never ever forget you. If only I could pinch your cheeks, one last time. I love you big guy. Say hi to my angels for me#honoraryauntanduncle
