Obituary of Evelyn McLoughlin

Evelyn McLoughlin, age 80, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, NY - the daughter of the late Katherine and James Lee. She was the sister of the late Joan, Maryanne, and Betty and the spouse of the late Thomas F. McLoughlin. Evelyn was the beloved stepmother of Doreen, Joan (Michael), and Thomas Jr. (Kathleen) and the loving grandmother of Kaitlin, Kelsey, Victoria, and Samantha. Evelyn is also survived by her four nephews Douglas (Patti), James (Maria), Jack (Michelle), and Andrew (Megan). Evelyn was a dedicated teacher in the New York Public School System until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Tom, and spending time with friends and family at Breezy Point Surf Club. A lover of board and card games, Evelyn could be found holding court at H-40 every summer playing Rummikub with a cold glass of wine in her hand.

The visitation for Evelyn will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 3:00 to 8:00pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 9:45am.
