Obituary of Antonio Gentile

Anthony Gentile, resident of Marine Park died on November 17^th at the age of 86.  Anthony is survived by his 4 children, Rosemary, Nick, Tina, and Michael; his grandchildren Christina, Brianna, Nicholas, Jennifer, Gianna, Vincenzo, and Giulia; his son-in-laws Pat and Vinny and daughter-in-law Margo.

Anthony was born in Calabria Italy on March 29^th, 1935 to Rose & Nicola Gentile.  He lost both of his parents and younger sister in WWII at the age of 9 years old.  He immigrated to America in 1952 at the age of 17 years old.  On Sept 17^th, 1960, Anthony wed his wife Antoinette.  Anthony worked as a Machinist building airplane parts for a company by the name of Vahl engineering which was located in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. 

Anthony’s family was the center of his life.  Anthony enjoyed spending time in his backyard, gardening, and enjoying family and friends.  Anthony was a devoted Catholic and member of the St.Columba Parish in Marine Park.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

The visitation for Anthony Gentile will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21, 2021, and Monday, November 22, 2021, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM - the family will be meeting at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, NY.
