Obituary of Patrick J. Sammon

Patrick J. Sammon, age 87, of Breezy Point entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Patrick was born September 19, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Patrick and the late Mary (Brady) Sammon.  Dedicated man of service to our country and community, serving in the Navy during the Korean war and continuing his service with a career in the NYPD as a Police Officer. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Kenny) Sammon. Loving father of Patrick (Meg), Brian (Jill), Joseph (Patti), Danny (Laurie), Michael (Joan), Annmarie (Pete), and Patricia (Jimmy). Cherished grandfather of 19.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Patrick's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

 

Reposing Wednesday, November 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

 

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 11 at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 204-25 Rockaway Point Blvd., Rockaway Point, New York 11697.
