Obituary of Rose Marcelus
Rose Marcelus, of Brooklyn, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born on April 7, 1930 in Saint-Michel-de-l'Atalaye, Haiti to the late Celusma Marcelus and the late Thelismene Joseph. In 1999, she emigrated to New York. Rose was a devoted mother and strong women of faith. She was respected throughout her community for her wisdom, generosity, kindness, and moral character. She is survived by her two daughters, Marie Jeanette Desvarieux and Soeurette Cyprien, and two sons, Carl Desvarieux and his wife Esther Louis, and Fritz Desvarieux. She is the beloved grandmother to Karl-Raymond and his fiancée Anna Meg, Matthew, Lawrenson Ricardo, Atano, Davide, Charlize, Carline, Martine, Rachelle, Rebecca, Webert, Donald, Gabriella, Sabastian, Roubens, Clifford. She is the great-grandmother to Gaelle, Loidy, Carlenne Julie, Stewart, Donley, Rood Carlin, Aaliyah, Sebastian, Ivanna, Kackenson, Gregory, Carl-Heinz, Haleeson. She is the great-great-grandmother to Niya, Marcovely, and Naisha.
A reposing memorial service will be held Friday, September 10 from 5:30 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Service of Christian burial will be held 9:00 AM Saturday, September 11th, at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Procession will form and depart by 10:30 AM, Committal to take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn.
