Obituary of Salvatore Morrongiello

Salvatore Morrongiello, age 87, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Salvatore Morrongiello was born January 8, 1934 in Italy. He is the son of the late Angelo and the late Carmela (Petito) Morrongiello. Devoted husband of almost 66 years to Rosina (Matteo) Morrongiello. Beloved father of Michael Morrongiello (Patricia), Rosalie Giovino (Michael) and Tina Flynn (Christopher). Cherished grandfather of Brittany (Andrew), Marissa, Nicole, Alexa, Meghan, Natalie, Victoria, Jaclyn and Allison. Dear great grandfather of Oliver Patrick Hirsch.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Salvatore's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Monday, September 6 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 7 at St. Bernard R.C. Church, 2055 East 69th Street, Brooklyn. 

Committal service to immediately follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
