Obituary of Anthony Testaverde
Anthony Testaverde, Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully surounded by his family on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Anthony was a proud American, who served his country and continued to care for his fellow veterans throughout his life. A family man with a big heart, a great sense of humor, and the courage to fear nothing, Anthony touched the lives of so many who will always remember his smile. His dedication to his community and his faith was strong. His love for his family was always his first priority, for his wife, children and grandchildren. Loving, selfless and devoted, Anthony was always ready and willing to be there for them when they needed him. He was a loyal friend to many.
If you were lucky enough to know Anthony, you were able to know someone who always went above and beyond to make something right for someone else. Anthony was a true humanitarian who loved his life. He will be remembered for the qualities that made him a friend, and for the memories he made with all those he encountered in his life.
Anthony had a love for sports. He enjoyed playing, as well as coaching his children's teams throughout the years.
Anthony was the caring son of the late Frank and Caroline Testaverde.
Anthony was the beloved husband of JoAnn Testaverde. Devoted father of Anthony Jr. (Kristen,) Michael (Grace,) Jonathan (Danielle,) Victoria and Nicholas (Samantha.) Cherished grandfather of Anthony and Christopher; Michael Jr., Francesca, Joseph and Jaxon; Jonathan Jr., Giuliana, Emma and Amelia; Jonmichael Anthony; Nicholas Jr. and Aurora. Dear brother to the late Gertrude, the late Gennaro, Marie, Patricia, Frank and Caroline. Anthony is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Son-in-law of Josephine and the late Anthony Forletta. Brother-in-law to Donna (Pasquale) and Anthony.
Visitation for Anthony will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 9:45 AM at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church.
Burial to immediately follow at Green-Wood Cemetery.
