Obituary of Jonathan J. Huza
Jonathan Huza, 68, entered into eternal rest on June 29th, 2021. Mr. Huza was born, raised, and lived his entire life in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Frank Sr. and Milfred Huza. He is the beloved husband of Marilyn and loving father of Matthew (Amanda Joy) and Michael (Amanda Patricia). Jon's heart belonged to his grandchildren Samantha and Matt-Matt. Family was the most important part of Jon's life including his siblings, Frank Jr., Mark, Susan, Regina, Karole, Mary and the late Christopher.
Jon attended Catholic schools through his early life in Brooklyn and graduated from New York City College of Technology and then the CUNY College of Staten Island. After graduating Jon worked for Con Edison at Indian point. When a workplace accident threatened the continuation of his father's sheet metal, heating and cooling business, Jon stepped-up to work alongside his father for more than 35 years. Their success brought them to every part of this great city, including countless firehouses, public schools, movie sets, bakeries, Coast Guard boats and even the women's prison at Riker's Island. There isn't a neighborhood in the five boroughs where Jon could not point to a building or roof and say "I did work there."
In his free time Jon loved riding motorcycles, working on his many car projects and occasionally taking his boat out. Quick with a joke and long with a story, Jon was well known and much loved by many. He was always the first to offer help to those in need and his generosity changed the course of many lives. While at rest now, his charm and kindness will live on through those he loved.
