My friend Sue, from the moment we met at work at the LMDC we hit it off. We had so much in common even though we had 30+ years between us! The joke was that we were office mom and daughter. As it turns out it wasn't a joke! We really did share a special relationship! Sue was there for me for some of the biggest milestones of my life, including my wedding and if not for a snowstorm she'd have been there for the birth of my first child. I just reread our texts from January 2015 she was one of the first people I texted after giving birth. She made sure Chrissy and Joe invited me to their beautiful wedding in Cape May and I was so honored. She taught me that even if you fancy yourself a good time on a Saturday night you better fancy yourself in Church on Sunday morning, Christmas and Easter was a must too! I never had to explain it twice to Sue, she just got it. "Brooklyn girls are the best!" Every year we'd try to meet up in Cape May and sometimes we did but it's been a few years. When I head down this summer though, I know I'll see her there. It'll be impossible not to. I love you, Sue. Rest in Peace and as you would tell me often... "go easy".
To Chrissy, Lisa and the family - I know there are no words but I wanted to try anyway. You are all in my thoughts and in my heart. I am praying for your peace and strength.
Love Always,
Danielle Ruggiero

My cousin Sue would light up the room with her beautiful smile and her love of life. I have so many wonderful memories from growing up with our family parties and so happy we reconnected. I loved every time you called me cuz. You always made my mom laugh and put a smile on her face. You will always be in my heart. Love you.

Susan permeated happiness when she walked into the room. I am so happy we got to spend time together at Breezy Point a few summers ago.

It is with great sadness that we read this news.
Our sincere sympathy to Susan’s children and beloved brother and sister-in-law. We were neighbors in Cape May and would always be looking forward to when we would see her car pull
In the driveway. She was always a delight to talk to.

Sue and I were so very close as children. Our vacations included me spending a week with Sue and her family in Brooklyn and then her spending a week with me and my family in NJ.
Sue brought joy wherever she went. I loved her so much and will miss her always.

Our fondest memories of our dear friend Sue were holidays at Joe and Chrissy with our grandchildren. After eating a delicious meal we would ask Alexa to play songs and dance together with Grace Vinny and Tom. We will miss her wonderful presence but will always love her. Rest in peace Sue. Luv Fran and Sib
