Obituary of Robert Strong

Robert Michael Strong passed away at his home in Marine Park, Brooklyn on May 23, 2021. He was 70 years old, born in Brooklyn on February 22,1951 to John Strong and Anne Claffey.

Growing up he enjoyed his large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in New Jersey. Reading and researching his roots in Ireland and taking long drives and exploring new places.

Robert attended Fort Hamilton H.S. and worked for NY Telephone Co. and later was a proud member and electrician with IBEW until he retired.

He met Norma Collazo in 1969 and they were married in 1970. Together they raised three wonderful children. Sean, Alison and William. Robert and Norma were always devoted to one another and never apart during their 50 years of marriage.

His pride and joy were his two grandchildren Brianne and Hudson Robert, who he cherished and spent many happy playful times with. He adored them. And he was very proud of his daughter in-laws Maureen and Brittany.

Robert loved his family, loved Brooklyn and living in Marine Park and was a proud American.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 PM & 7:00-9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 

Funeral Mass will be held the following morning on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 9:45 AM at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church.
