Obituary of Mary Jean Baptiste Esperance
With profound sorrow and tears on our part Mary Jean Baptiste Esperance departed this world on May 9, 2021 unfortunately on Mother's Day to become the family's angel under the safe wings of God. she was a highly devoted, caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend with great courage and constant willingness to help others despite her own long battles with serious medical issues she has calmly endured in recent years. Mary was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti on February 25, 1945 as a Blessed twin sister with her brother Edwin jean Baptiste from two proud parents named Raoul Jean Baptiste and his wife Dieudonne Breva. She was the third from a set of five siblings. On April 22, 1967 Mary married the love of her life Louis Baster Esperance and from this proud union came the joyful birth of four children named Marie Sonia Esperance, Marjory Esperance Vernet, Marie Darline Esperance Henry, and Mary Yolaine Esperance. Thanks to her husband 's great fatherhood collaboration she was successfully able to provide for their daily needs and honest upbringing especially where good schooling is concerned as a top family priority achievement toward life success. In search for better economic and educational opportunities for her children she migrated together with her husband to the United States of America in 1982 where she worked as a home health aide that helped her with the needed care of her four daughters Who were left in the care of their extended family. Her definite pressing dream was to reunify her family as a main goal that has been finally concretized to her great satisfaction when her children came to the United States of America in 1984 thanks to God's assistance and her strong determination as a dedicated exemplary mother as proudly stated this was the most important time in her life. Achievements through this transition Mary exemplify love, peace, courage, and hope while nurturing spiritual affections and comfort in her home environment. Your four children thank you and dad as well for doing everything possible to always secure our upbringing in view of safety, respect, honesty, pride and self-motivation standards. Your unconditional love and care mean everything to us and will always continue to be our lantern. In February 2020 Mary suffered an unexpected life-threatening stroke that rendered her incapacitated for a long period of time needing life support confinement in the hospital. Two months after she transitioned from the hospital to a nursing home rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn New York where she spent her final days prior to her death on May 9, 2021. Her memory is a lifetime journey, cooking was one of her main hobbies she will be greatly missed by her four children and grandchildren Marvins, Brandon, Joshua and David ,her siblings Eddy Jean Baptiste, Eunide Jean Baptiste Benjamin (deceased), Edwin jean Baptiste, Elourde jean Baptiste, Lewis, Edner Elie (deceased), Antonio Elie (deceased), jean Robert jean Baptiste, Rene (deceased), Anthony Rameau (deceased) and their entire family; sons in law Mario Vernet, Joseph Edison Henry, several nieces and nephews really too many to mention together with A host of cousins friends in the Haitian community.
