My sympathy and condolences go out to all of my cousins and their families on the loss of their Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. She was my Aunt and Godmother. I remember her as the Matriarch of the family and she took that position over from her Mom. She was always organizing and hosting family gatherings at her house - and they were huge!! because of all of the children (31 of them). I don't know how she did it. I get tired hosting parties much, much smaller than that. Some of my fondest memories are of playing with my cousins at these gatherings.
I also remember that she used her organizing skills to get storm sewers installed to prevent flooding of Kenmore Court and then used these skills to get a job at a nursing home and eventually became manager of the nursing home for many years. She was a real inspiration. They don't make them like that anymore.
May she rest in peace. She finally is reunited with her parents, husband, and two of her brothers and their spouses. She's probably organizing something already.
Love,
Jerry
