Obituary of Rosemary McManus
Rosemary McManus (nee Moscatt) passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 3, 2021. Rosemary was the beloved wife of Hugh McManus. She was the loving mother of Salvatore, Patrick, Mary, and Michael McManus. She was adored daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (nee McKeever) Moscatt. She was the cherished sister of Jeanette (Thomas) Innace, Joseph (Loretta) Moscatt, Marianne Moscatt, Michael (Renate) Moscatt, and the late Susan Moscatt. Rosemary was the dear sister-in-law of John (Regina) McManus, Brian (Tracie) McManus, Cathleen (Martin) Keane, Thomas (Ning) McManus, Philip (Eileen) McManus, and the late Mary McManus. Rosemary will be greatly missed by her 24 nieces and nephews.
Rosemary believed and trusted in God and walked in the light of Jesus Christ. She loved life and was an avid runner, swimmer, and cyclist. Rosemary adored her children and loved being a mother. She was thoughtful and kind to all who knew her, and cherished time spent with her many friends. Rosemary attended Our Lady of Refuge for Grammar School and Bishop Kearney for high school. She continued her education at Brooklyn College for her Bachelor's Degree, and then her first Master's Degree. Rosemary received a second Master's Degree from Touro College. Rosemary was a passionate teacher – she taught 14 years at P.S. 119, teaching the 3rd Grade Eagle Class and finished her career as a reading coach.

The visitation for Rosemary McManus will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Friday, May 7, 2021, and Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM, the family will be meeting at the funeral home by 8:30 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at St. Charles Cemetery.
