Gladys Moran what a class act!!!!! Gladys is like a 2nd mother to me. She was always loving and welcoming!! I know gladys over 50 years and she treated me as if my last name was Moran all the time. I love the memories i have of her. Some of them are funny. If i ate something and it wound up as a stain on my shirt she would say 'AY VEHEN ELLEN YOU WEARING THE ENTIRE MENU" or our common liking of flowered shirts. Or possibly the best the most cherished memory............sitting in the dining room with Mildred, Mom and Lisa making pasteles. . thank you for the best blessing of all sharing your love.... i love you forever Ellen

On Wednesday February 10, 2021 my Aunt Gladys Moran passed at the age of 86. She was my late mother’s only sister. Death can be so inconvenient. It does not ask if you have plans or if you’ve accomplished everything on your ‘bucket list’. It simply comes, ready or not, and steals you away from your loved ones like a thief in the night. Our Faith teaches us to prepare ourselves and be ready and vigilant for we know not the hour or the day when we will be called to our Father’s house.
I think my Aunt Gladys had been preparing all her life. She lived her life to the fullest. She worked hard as a seamstress and entrepreneur. She was devoted to her beloved Pedro, and their 2 daughters. She doted on them whenever she could. When her grandchildren were born she was thrilled. During our conversations she would often tell me antics about her grandchildren and you could hear the joy in her voice.
As a child I remember seeing her frequently at family gatherings, trips, holidays, birthdays or just visits between sisters. Whenever she entered the room the party started. She had such a lively spirit and infectious laughter. The music would start and so would the dancing and jokes. She loved a good time with family.
The memories are endless, all happy and full of joy. I will miss my Aunt Gladys…her smile, the twinkle in her eyes, the gregarious laughter. She truly had a ‘joie de vivre’, that feeling of happiness and excitement about life. I believe she has joined her beloved Pedro, her parents, sister and brothers that went before her as well as other relatives and friends. I’d like to think she is starting the party in Heaven as she did here on Earth. So I will just say, keep the laughter and party going until we meet again. I love you dearly.
