Obituary of Richard Mormando

Richard Mormando, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Richard was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was the youngest of six children. Rich served in the United States Army at Fort Totten in Queens, NY. Rich married Elaine on April 22, 1961, and had 3 children who were raised on East 31st Street in Flatbush. Rich coached baseball and softball for many years. After retiring from Chemical Bank where he worked in Human Resources, Rich and Elaine moved to Lakewood, NJ. There they enjoyed many activities and outings. Rich's favorites were chorus, drama club, playing dominoes, and pool.

Richard is survived by his wife Elaine, daughters Suzette (Joe) and Nicole (Kevin), son Anthony (Lori), and seven grandchildren Renee, Alexa, Dana, Jillian, Mia, Brian, and Victoria.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Parkinson's Foundation.

The visitation for Richard Mormando will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 9:30 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
