Vincenza Savino

Obituary of Vincenza Savino

Vincenza Savino, age 87, passed away peacefully December 12, 2020 due to Covid-19. She was born December 2, 1933 in a small town called Grumo Appula in Bari, Italy.

She could brighten any room with her warm light. She loved her family deeply and had a love for life and people. She had a ‘larger than life personality” and always made people around her smile. She was a one-of-a-kind lady that brought so much joy into our lives. She had a love for cooking and took such pride in making all kinds of Italian specialty dishes for her family and friends.

Vincenza is survived by her four daughters (Rose Littlejohn and her husband Robert Littlejohn, Lisa Alvarado and her husband Orlando Alvarado, Linda Ostrowe and her husband Jason Ostrowe, and Christina Albergo and her husband John Albergo); and six grandchildren (Matthew Shyman and his wife Hannah Zaks, Danielle Shyman, Jordan Alvarado, Kayla Alvarado, Jenna Albergo and Jaclyn Ostrowe). She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them.

The heavens have welcomed a new angel at its doors. Lord please watch over this very special angel and take care of her. She is loved and missed very much by her family.

The funeral services will be held privately for immediate family members only on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234, (718) 339-8900.
