Obituary of George J. Polito

George J. Polito, age 94, of Rockaway Park entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Mr. Polito was born July 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Carmine and the late Antoinette (Petrella) Polito. Proud US Army veteran. George was a dedicated NYC firefighter with the FDNY. Devoted husband of Vilma Polito. Loving father of George M. Polito, loving father in-law of Alison Polito. Beloved brother of Vincent Polito and Frank Polito. Cherished Grandfather to Amanda, Emily, Jake and Brooke Polito

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May George's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Sunday, December 6 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Monday, December 7 at St. Francis De Sales R.C. Church, 129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, Queens.

Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
