Uncle Tom was by far one of the kindest and most compassionate of all men. He was my favorite uncle as he and Aunt Irene filled the gap when we lost our parents many years ago. This man would give you the shirt off his back and move your kid 3 times between Queens and Manhattan if need be. Whenever Uncle Tom was around, whether it be a graduation party, a wedding or a backyard BBQ, you just knew that everything was alright. My girls and my hubby adored him as well. We were all so very blessed to have had him for the time that we did. God bless the Cuccurullo family during this really difficult season.

We were country folk and Tom got along with us great. Perhaps he took a liking to country folk while he was stationed at Fort Knox when he was in the Army. While in Kentucky, he lived in a small apartment with his wife Irene and his first child, Little Irene, was born at the base’s hospital. Tom performed so many acts of mercy. He walked with others through their pain; was so kind to so many; and helped so many in need. He loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them.
I talked with Tom this past Easter Sunday. He told me he enjoyed watching mass on TV. He will be greatly missed. He was genuine through and through. His legacy will continue and he will not be forgotten. He is in our prayers.
Love,
Lucille Tangel and Family

I am so sorry of the passing of this wonderful man, my Uncle Tom. He was like a second father to me. I enjoyed the last ten years living on Long Island and spending most weekends out in Southampton with him and my beloved Aunt Irene. On the Sundays I spent with them I would always make his favorite meal, sauce, meatballs, sausage and Rigatoni. I would bake them their favorite deserts. My memories of those ten years are forever in my heart and soul. I will miss the stories he told of my parents as they all grew up. Uncle Tom worked so hard his entire life and he loved every moment of it. He loved his children and grandchildren so much. We were so blessed that he and Aunt Irene loved all of us Tangel children too! May he rest in peace with his beautiful wife and all our family who have passed before him. May God bless over all my cousins as they continue to follow their parents dreams and legacy. Love and my deepest sympathies, Cousin Joanne
