Obituary of Antonio Sy
Dr. Antonio G. Sy, also known to his family as "Tony", passed away on April 28, 2020; he was 77 years old. He was born and raised in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1973, and with his wife, Corazon, they opened their practice in Brooklyn, NY and raised their four children. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, uncle and grandfather.
He worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He was patient, generous and loyal, and would always help his family and friends whenever he was able. He had many interests and took pleasure in sharing them with his children. He enjoyed gardening, particularly planting vegetables & fruit trees. He would spend countless of hours working in his garden, taking care of his crops and watching them grow. He was proud sharing his harvest with his family & friends.
He always took a hands-on approach to life, trying to analyze and figure things out before seeking help. He was always up for a challenge and rose to the occasion and took great pride when he was able to complete a home improvement successfully. He loved working with his hands and learning new things - renovating the house, fixing his car, and monitoring the stock market. He enjoyed watching basketball, listening to music and was fond of dogs, birds, and cats.
He was well respected and had a good sense of humor, and will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and patients.
He will soon be resting in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Corazon.
The committal service will be at Green-wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
