Obituary of Louis Janicke

The Janicke family announce with great sadness the loss of Louis Janicke.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Louis Janicke, age 75, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at home with his family by his side. Mr. Janicke was born October 24, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Michael and the late Isabel (Gargano) Janicke.

Louis was the life of every party, the one to dance on the table, tell a corny Dad joke and always be the peace maker. Everyone came to him for advice and words of wisdom.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Valerie Janicke. Loving father of Kim Bartolone (Anthony Bartolone) and Jason Janicke (Denise Janicke). Cherished grandfather of Kayla Janicke, Anthony Bartolone, Ashley Bartolone, Sophia Janicke and Charlie Janicke. Dear brother of Rosemarie Sellitto, Michael Janicke, Jr., Robert Janicke and the late Barbara Sasso. Adored uncle of 10 nieces and nephews.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Louis' soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
