Lillian Wolfson

Obituary of Lillian Wolfson

Lillian Burger Wolfson was born August 2, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. Her parents Emilie Foerster Burger and William Burger immigrated from Germany around 1925.  Lillian had two siblings William and Gehilde (Jean).  She married George Wolfson on May 31, 1967. She is survived by three children, Robert, Julie and Lynn.  She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Diana (30), Lauren (24), Troy (20), and Kayla (14) and three great-grand children, Gabriella (10), Felicity (8)
and Sophia (6).

She had a great love for her family
and they loved her just as much.

She worked many years in the jewelry industry,
first for W.B. David in the Diamond District of NY
and then for Judith Jack in NY.

She was compassionate and generous.
She greeted everyone she met and would do
whatever she could to make you smile
and even laugh.

She always looked for the best in people
and treated everyone with love,
even if they didn't reciprocate.

At the nursing home she greeted the staff by name
and was good at making friends
with the other patients.
She wanted to always cheer people up,
encourage them and to make them feel included.

She loved concerts, bingo, bowling, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune,
the Hallmark Channel and NCIS Los Angeles.

She had a strong faith in God.
She prayed daily and loved God.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Brooklyn, NY.

She loved animals and most of her
life always had dogs and cats.

She died March 26, 2020 from complications
from pneumonia but will never be forgotten.

She was a blessing to everyone who knew her.

We know she has no more pain and is healed.
Although our hearts are heavy and hurting,
we know she is smiling
because she is no longer in pain
and in heaven and reunited with her husband, parents, brother and sister.

We will love and miss her forever.
