We will forever miss Maria. A special woman who always made you feel at home and welcome every time we were with her. She will be missed but never forgotten by the people that were lucky enough to know her. Our hearts go out to the entire family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Ciardullo family.I will fondly remember Mary. Her love of family and her faith was abundant. My memory to share is how she always welcomed me in her home.At the bbqs Vinny would have, in the backyard, she would come out to join us. If you didn't keep your eye on your plate and moved away from it when you returned it would be gone-just like when you are at a wedding : ) Those twinkling eyes of her spoke volumes! May God accompany Maria Ciardullo from this earth to the Kingdom of heavenly peace, rest, and eternal life that has been prepared for us,where tears are no more, and suffering and pain are over-Amen. Fondly,Camille xoxo

A second mother to so many of us in Brooklyn, irreplaceable, as strong as a bull, as wise as a sage, always at least one step ahead of all of us. A 50 year plus relationship with one of the kindest and most remarkable woman I have ever met. My great privlege.
A memory,? A different one for every one of the hundreds of meals I ate at her table. This one brings a smile to my face .
Mary Jean and i decide to head off to IHOP for pancakes on a Sunday morning and tell her mother we are going to church; we get back she gives us one of those "looks" and says " And whata church did you go to "? Simultaneously we say St. Jeromes/St Thomas ! She is staring at the powdered sugar on our shirts, shakes her head and says "so stupid you no can even lie" and walks away!!

A wonderful women... I loved her like a mother and sometimes more. When The Blessed Mother was ( reportedly) appearing down the block in Marlboro, off Maria and I would go for our Monthly miracle. You all can imagine the fodder for comedy that gave Jimmy Kelly as we would reappear 4 hours later to the taunt “ What did the Blessed Mother tell you now? Take my people home”! There must be a party in Heaven and if ghere is food..Fabulous!

I wish I could write, because if I could this page would be filled with the most beautiful words for the most beautiful lady that I was so fortunate to have known. Maria I will miss you truly.
You made me feel like a member of your family every time I was with you. I was so blessed by your encouraging words when I stayed at your home during my chemotherapy treatment. I love going down in the afternoon and spending time with you, your feisty spirit helped lift mine and we would laugh about everything and nothing. I know you are in God’s arms right now and you are telling him what he should do about us down here, and you are also preparing him one of your delicious meals. I know Mary and Vinny have their biggest advocate holding God’s hands and everything will be alright.
Mary and Vinny I hope that in every memory of your mom you will feel her loving presence in the most comforting ways.
Like my father always said, “hasta que nos veamos de nuevo, vaya con Dios”.
