Obituary of Mary Jean Edgell
Mary Jean Edgell, age 93, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Mrs. Edgell was born September 23, 1926 in New London, CT. She is the daughter of the late Ned and the late Mary (Kelly) Leighton. Beloved wife of the late James C. Edgell. Loving mother of James L. Edgell, Donald C. Edgell and Katherine C. Edgell. Cherished grandmother of Ian, James J., Devin, Christopher, Gabriel and Matthew. Dear sister of the late Stephen Edward Leighton.
Reposing Sunday, March 15 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Monday, March 16 at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn.
Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
