My husband and I worked with Eddie for many years at National Grid. When my husband Vincent passed away 10 years ago this Friday, Eddie was my Angel. His unending kindness and support got me through the most difficult time in my life. I will forever remember his thoughtfulness and patience. I do not live in Brooklyn anymore but my heart, thoughts and prayers are with Joanne and his family. May God Bless all.

I have been very lucky to know Ed through his brother Robert. There are a few people I've had the pleasure to have know, that can always make you smile just by seeing them, and Ed was one. I guess it was his great way of telling stories that you could always bet on laughing. The day we drove over the Pali, or the snapping Martini turtles of Haleakula come to mind. Although not everyone shared my take on Ed, like the bartender at Club 52 who would say when ever Ed came in "Connaughton I'd rather see the B41 come through that door than you!" I can remember some sad times like when Ed lost Marjorie and Kaitlyn was so small. But God must have smiled on Ed while Roxy kept him going, Joanne came into his life and he was truly blessed. Through those bad times I never heard him complain. Not many people knew Ed the way I did, but then again no one else Honeymooned with Ed & Joanne, and by the way still one of the best Honeymoons I've ever been on! I'm going to miss you, but I'll never forget you, your friend, What's His Name! If you don't know ask Kaitlyn.

Ed was a terrific guy! He was always there for me, always asking if I needed a hand and when I said yes always making the time to do so.
I always loved seeing him walk the girls, Ed's girls he'd say.
You will be missed and never forgotten my neighbor and friend. Rest in peace.

Eddie...always kind, gentle with that beautiful smile...that is how I will remember you. You were the first of Dennis' friends that I met and immediately welcomed me into the group. Fondest memory was reading the Sunday comics with you in the dugout waiting for a softball game to start...we enjoyed Brenda Starr, Star Reporter...funny how that sticks out. Rest in Peace, my dear friend. Always, Kathy S.

Eddie was my next door neighbor for at least 35 years. Eddie always had time for a chat. One of my favorite memories is Eddie faithfully walking his dogs who he called friends. He always had a smile in spite of very very tough times. He was the salt of the earth and will be missed by all who knew him. I am deeply saddened by his passing.
