Mo loved animals so much - I loved seeing her love on her babies through photos. I’ll never forget her kindness, helping me through the difficult part of saying goodbye to one of my own. I’ll love her most for that - she had a huge heart for all those in need. Rest in peace beautiful lady.

Here’s my Mo four years ago today at Sun Studio in Memphis. She’s holding the microphone (and standing in the spot) that a 19 year-old kid named Elvis Presley used to make his first record.

I met both Andrew and Maureen in July of 2013 after my Mom had passed. I had promised my Mom I would find a wonderful home for her 18 year old Eclectus Parrot. This lucky little guy found the most amazing and loving home with Maureen and Andrew. She would send me pictures and video's very frequently and I knew that Ben was loved and I was so very grateful. I did not have the privilege of hanging out or seeing Maureen after the adoption, but we kept in touch on FB and text. She was an angel on earth. Kind, compassionate and loving. Such a sad and tremendous loss for those around her. My thoughts and prayers are with her beloved husband Andrew and her loving family. May she rest in eternal peace.

In 1976, I was Maureen’s second grade teacher at P.S. 171 in Brooklyn. She was a bright, friendly, and simply adorable little girl. We have kept in touch since then, always remembering each other’s birthdays, holidays, and life events. We also shared our love for animals, and I marveled at her kindness and dedication towards all her fur babies. Maureen was one in a million. Rest In Peace, dear sweet Maureen. You will be missed. ❤️

I met Mo in the Fall of 1995 and immediately had a crush on her. It took me a few months to work up the courage to ask her out, but when I did, she shocked me and said "yes." Mo was the "best thing that ever happened to a bum like me." I loved her with all of my heart and will love her forever.
We shared a great life together; my only regret is that it was cut short.
I'll miss everything about you, Mo Gavin. We went to many concerts together, and did a lot of fun things out and about. But what I'll miss most are the simple, quiet nights at home. I loved every minute of being with you, my "Angel Face." We had a great ride, full of laughs and love. Until we meet again, my sweet xoxo.

Mo, I told you how much I love you on a regular basis long before you got sick. And during these past six months, I told you each and every day. I will love you forever, Angel Face. You will forever be in my heart and soul.
