The John DiCanio Fund for Addiction Treatment

Corner House Behavioral Health’s mission is to prevent and treat alcohol and drug addiction by engaging and supporting youth, adults and families in life-long healthy living and recovery. Our goals are to raise awareness to change attitudes and beliefs in schools, home and community; enhance skills of youth, adults and families; provide evidence based and individualized treatment and cultivate collaborative and energized leadership and action in the community and local government. This work is accomplished by a caring, trusted, data-driven, forward thinking and inclusive team and environment.

At the request of the DiCanio Family Corner House Behavioral Health has developed the John DiCanio Fund for Addiction Treatment. Corner House treatment programs serve hundreds of individuals yearly through our customized outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. In our treatment programs, we are also seeing the impact of the current opiate epidemic sweeping the nation and our community. This year Corner House Behavioral Health faced a turning point. For the first time since we opened our doors in 1972 and in the midst of this opiate epidemic and the government funding shifts, we have been forced to turn away individuals due to their lack of financial resources. This decision was difficult to make in light of the escalating demands for our services.

In collaboration with the DiCanio Family, the “John DiCanio Fund for Addiction Treatment” will allow Corner House Behavioral Health to establish a fund that will subsidize the cost of treatment for those individuals who do not have the resources to afford the cost of treatment. Please make your contribution through the www.cornerhousenj.org website or by directly mailing a donation to the Corner House Foundation, One Monument Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540.

In both donations please specify for the “John DiCanio Fund for Addiction Treatment”. If you have any questions please contact Corner House Behavioral Health at 609-924-8018.
