Obituary of Kenneth J. Maloney

Kenneth J. Maloney was born in Brooklyn on September 25, 1958 and returned to the loving care of his parents, the late Joseph and Katherine Maloney,  on April 12, 2018. 

Ken served our country in the U.S. Navy and was a Retired Corrections Officer of The City of New York, having faithfully served for over 20 years in the C-74 Adolescent Unit on Rikers Island.  He was known there as "The Gentle Giant" or "The Big Guy."

He was the devoted husband of Chris for 25 years, and a wonderful one of a kind father to Kaitlin Maloney and Cassie Maloney.  Kenneth was the beloved brother of Denise Gaspar, Linda Maloney-Mahmoud and Stephen Maloney, and the dear brother-in-law of Mahmoud Mahmoud, Marc Fontaine, Thomas Fontaine and the late Patrick Fontaine.  He was a loving uncle and second Dad to many.

Reposing Tuesday, April 17 from 9:00 to 10:15 AM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:45 AM on Tuesday, April 17 at St. Brendan R.C. Church,
1525 East 12th Street, Brooklyn, NY.  Committal Service will be Private.
