Obituary of Eileen Shea

Eileen Shea passed away on March 21, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was 81 years old.  Born August 4, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY. 

Eileen certainly earned the title of homemaker, wife, mother, great & grand, nanny and overall "caregiver".  But those that knew Eileen best can speak of her gift of writing and passion for penning her creative thoughts on paper.  We all equate the latter years of life with raising our young and getting them out on their own for peace and quiet or the fear of being a widow in an empty nest that use to be filled with laughter, tears and memories.  Not Eileen, over the last 40 plus years and you may be one of them reading this, can say Eileen took care of me too.  From her own clan of 6 to the whole neighborhood Eileen was a Nanny to so many right till the end.  

She was the widow of Thomas Shea.  Eileen was the devoted mother of Kelly (Richie) Terrio, Mary Scarfogliero (Anthony Tarantino), Tom (Jennifer) Shea, Michael (Theresa) Shea, Eileen (Clem) Marotte, and Frank (Gabrielle) Shea. Dear sister of Vincent (Cathy) Dolan and the late Robert Dolan. She was the loved sister-in-law and lifelong friend of Peggy Tarantino. Beloved Grandmother of 21 & great grandchildren of 2. Eileen was the adored aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Reposing Saturday & Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:00 PM at The Marine Park Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass Monday 9:30 AM St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church.  Committal Chapel of Green - Wood Crematory & Cemetery.
