Obituary of Eileen E. Howlin

Eileen E. Howlin (nee Redmond), age 66, of Brooklyn passed away with her family by her side Saturday, June 24, 2017.  Mrs. Howlin was born April 27, 1951. She is the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Anastasia (nee Irwin) Redmond being Irish immigrants who proceeded through Ellis Island.

Eileen raised three children, but later in life obtained an Associates Degree that led her to become an Administrative Assistant for Brooklyn College.  In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at the All American Soccer Club in Gerritsen Beach for over 35 years.  Eileen was also a member of the Wexford Association of New York.

Eileen is the loving wife of Patrick J. Howlin.  She is the cherished mother of Stacey Howlin, Kieran Howlin with his wife Kristin, and Declan Howlin with his wife Darcie.  She is the adored Nana of Liam, Lucas, Violet, Sean, and Connor.  She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Eileen will be greatly missed by her sisters Ann O’Brien and Mary Sirchia and her brother Thomas Redmond.  She is welcomed into Heaven by her late brother Patrick Redmond.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 28th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 PM and Thursday, June 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Friday, June 30th at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY.  Burial will be in St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY following the service.
