Obituary of Rose L. Regina
Rose L. Regina passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on April 10, 2017.
The daughter of the late Gennaro & Virginia DeMaria, she was born on May 30, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY.
A truly devoted School Aide at PS 244 for 50 + years. Rose's life of service to the NYC Department of Education & the children, is a testament to her life and commitment to those at her second home.
Widow of the late Vincent G. Regina. Devoted mother of John Regina & Virginia Orlando. Dear Grandma
Ro-Ro of Vincent, Alexis, Danyelle and Carl, Great Grandma Ro-Ro to Nicholas, John, Adrianna, Alexander and Daniel. Rose was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt and friend who will be missed by those she loved & those who loved her.
In lieu of Flowers the family kindly request donations be made to Calvary Hospital (Brooklyn Campus), The March of Dimes Foundation or a charity of ones choice. Rose would consider that a true honor over flowers...
The Flower
The flower much like we humans is one
Of Gods beautiful creations.
It starts as a seed in the womb of the earth
And develops until it is ready to come out into
the world to show it's beauty, color and fragrance.
During its life-time it adorns very many functions
For many occasions that without its beauty
would not be the same.
However, it has a very short life span, as it
Grows old it begins to wilt and can no longer
Stand erect.
Then when it has served its earthly purpose
Giving pleasure, it dies.
Many women have been given the name of
some of these flowers.
You , my dear Aunt have been graced with
The name of one of the most beautiful, colorful
and fragrant of them all.
The Rose!
And if that isn’t enough:
Regina means “Queen”.
The Blessed Mother is at times referred to as “Regina” because she is the Queen of Heaven.
And May is the Blessed Mothers Month And the month of your birthday!
We wish you God’s blessing and
A very Happy Birthday.
A poem, prayer and truly heartfelt sentiment written for Rose in celebration of her birthday.
